Hello everyone. Sasha had a colon X-ray through his stoma. It showed good recovery to a normal size, and the damaged area was found. We anxiously awaited the doctors' decision, hoping to begin the second stage of treatment in July. However, additional tests showed that intestinal absorption had not fully recovered and was losing electrolytes. We can't take Sasha off her nighttime IVs, and she won't be able to tolerate a second surgery right now. Too many bodily functions have been disrupted. Sasha needs to continue rehabilitation and intravenous nutrition. More time is needed. This is the sad news. We're trying to stay positive and keep our cool.

Sasha's overall condition is good; she goes for walks a lot and has learned to ride a tricycle (she didn't have the strength to do that before). Her best friend, Alisa, has returned from her BMT; they are the same age, and they have a lot of fun together. They play doctors and store clerks ♥️
