I no longer know how to find the strength to look my child in the eye and pretend I'm not worried... 😭💔
My son Savva is only 5 years old.
Five is the age when children dream of new toys, argue over cartoons, run around playgrounds, and laugh for no reason. But my boy's childhood is completely different now... 😢
We live in Korolev. Until recently, Savva was an ordinary child: he loved to play, hug me before bed, and make his little childish plans. I couldn't even imagine that one day our life would change so drastically 😭
Since then, every day has been filled with anxiety, anticipation, and worry about my son's future.
Sometimes Savva looks at me with his big eyes and asks:
"Mom, when will this all end?.."
And I don't know what to say.
I just hug him, hold his hand, and try to be strong next to him 💔
Every night I go to his bed, adjust the blanket, and watch him sleep. At times like these, I think only of how much I want him to have a normal childhood again: home, games, walks, laughter, and peaceful days with us 😭
Now Savva needs to get to Israel, where they are ready to accept him and help him through this important milestone 🙏
