This week, Savva's condition worsened again. After a difficult course of chemotherapy and 28 proton therapy sessions, his body is having a very difficult time recovering.
On Friday morning, Savva was completely exhausted: he slept almost exclusively, waking up only for a few minutes before falling asleep again. Later, severe abdominal pain and frequent bouts of nausea began. By evening, his temperature had risen to 38.5°C, and his mother rushed him to the clinic.
After an examination, Savva was immediately hospitalized. Tests showed critically low blood counts, so he was urgently given a blood and platelet transfusion. At the same time, doctors tested for infections and began intravenous antibiotics.
He is now fever-free, but Savva remains very weak. He suffers from severe nausea and abdominal pain, and has almost no appetite. He can only remain active for 20-30 minutes before falling asleep again. Even at night, Savva wakes up from bouts of nausea and pain.
He currently remains in the hospital under 24-hour observation, receiving antibiotics, antiemetics, and pain medications. The family is awaiting infection test results, after which doctors will determine further treatment.
